As many schools and districts embrace the 2020 update of the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) social-emotional learning (SEL) framework, the new transformative SEL component may be a challenge to understand and implement. This webinar, with Committee for Children’s VP of Education, Research & Impact Dr. Tia Kim, will outline how the Second Step® Elementary and Second Step® Middle School digital programs support transformative SEL by promoting student identity, agency, and belonging, as well as cultivating community and building school connectedness.
